Version 1.0 / November 2026
Terms of use
This is a translation. In case of any difference, the Dutch text prevails.
These terms apply to the use of the Declaruur app. Please take a moment to read them; they are short and written in plain language.
1. Who we are
Declaruur is an app by Pim Uijttewaal from Nieuwveen, the Netherlands (hereinafter: “we”). You can reach us via the contact form.
2. Scope
These terms apply to the use of the Declaruur app on Mac, iPhone and iPad. By using the app, you agree to these terms and to our privacy statement. In addition to these terms, the terms of the Apple App Store apply.
3. Trial and purchase
- You can use Declaruur free of charge for 15 days.
- After that, you can unlock the app for a one-time amount of €19.95. This is not a subscription.
- The purchase applies to your Apple Account, on all your Mac, iPhone and iPad devices with that account. Family Sharing is not available.
- If you do not buy the app, Declaruur remains usable in read-only mode after the trial: you can view, export, print and email your data, but no longer change it.
- Payment and any refunds are handled by Apple, according to the rules of the App Store.
4. What Declaruur is and is not
- Declaruur is a tool for keeping track of hours, expenses and mileage and for creating timesheets.
- Declaruur does not give tax, legal or financial advice. The counter for the hours criterion, the warning signs about false self-employment and the information about VAT are intended as an indication only. Rules may change. If in doubt, consult a tax adviser, accountant or lawyer.
- Declaruur creates timesheets, not invoices.
5. Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of everything you enter, and for the timesheets, amounts and VAT you create with Declaruur.
- Always check a timesheet before you send it.
- You are responsible for keeping your records, including for the Dutch 7-year tax retention requirement. Therefore make an export or backup regularly; the app offers the options to do so.
- You use Declaruur for your own business and not for unlawful purposes.
6. No warranty
We have developed and tested Declaruur with care and to the best of our knowledge. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee that the app will always work without errors, completely or without interruption, or that calculations are correct in every situation. The app is provided “as is”. We do our best to fix reported errors as quickly as possible through updates.
7. Liability
- We are not liable for damage resulting from the use of Declaruur or from the app (temporarily) not working. This includes incorrect timesheets or calculations, lost revenue, fines, additional tax assessments, loss of data or other direct or indirect damage.
- If we are nevertheless liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Declaruur (€19.95).
- These limitations do not apply to damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness on our part.
8. Your data
Your data is stored on your own devices and, if you turn this on, in your own iCloud. We have no access to your data. You can read more about this in the privacy statement.
9. Updates and support
- We may update Declaruur to fix errors, add features or adapt the app to new laws and regulations or new versions of macOS and iOS.
- You can send questions, errors and suggestions via the app (Feedback & suggesties) or via the contact form on this website. We respond as quickly as reasonably possible.
- We aim to keep supporting Declaruur, but cannot guarantee that the app will continue to work on future versions of macOS or iOS.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. In the event of an important change, the app will show this once. The current version is always available in the app (Instellingen › Over Declaruur) and on declaruur.nl.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
