Right now, the text in the images and the app screenshots is still in Dutch. Who knows, that may still change 😉
Roadmap: what TallyHour can do and what’s coming
Last updated:
Here you can see what TallyHour can do now, what I’m still building and what comes after the first release. Target date for the App Store: 1 December 2026.
Done
Built, being tested

What’s there now
Tracking hours
Done: Enter hours per client: from–to, break, description and billable, also for an earlier day
Done: A note for every job, with formatting, photos and files
Done: Own work without a client, with a fixed list of descriptions (drag to reorder) and your company name as a badge
Built, being tested: Rounding to a quarter or half hour, with the default break already filled in
Overviews
Done: Today: what you did today, with hours, amount, logo and the client’s short description
Done: Week: Monday to Sunday, browse per week and per day
Done: History: search, filter, sort, and edit or delete several lines at once
Done: Export to Excel, optionally with notes, photos and files in a zip
Clients
Done: Up to 25 active, unlimited inactive, and private or business with an icon in the lists
Done: Name, short description, contact person, email, phone (neatly formatted), address lookup, chamber of commerce number, rate and VAT
Done: Distance and travel time from where you are, with a tap to Maps or CarPlay
Done: Smart search across everything, the latest job and existing jobs, with a warning for duplicate names or email addresses
Settings
Done: My company: details and logo, with checks on phone, chamber of commerce number, VAT number and website, and fetching the logo from your website
Done: Clients: private or business by default, own work on or off, distance and travel time on or off
Done: Animations, “Pick up where you left off” and iCloud status with the devices running TallyHour

Still to build: First launch, and choosing colour themes
Still to build: Feedback & suggestions in the app, plus the manual and release notes on declaruur.nl
Still to build: WhatsApp button, only after purchase

Releasing
Still to build: iPhone and iPad version, portrait and landscape (I expect the first iPhone prototype in mid-November)
Still to build: Preparing for the App Store: reviewing the data model, moving iCloud to production, securing the rights to icon, logo and images, and checking Apple’s rules
After the first release
Later
After the first release: Compressing photos, including existing photos
After the first release: An iCloud storage chart in iCloud status
After the first release: Recommending TallyHour: sharing with an image and QR code, and Apple’s review prompt
After the first release: The foldable iPhone
After the first release: Polish and Bulgarian versions
After the first release: Possibly an Android version
After the first release: As a separate project: voice, with dictation in text fields and voice notes you can share
This is a plan, not a promise: order and timing can change.
Missing something, or want something sooner? Let me know, I read everything.
